1000.1.         RESERVE POLICY

Tulare Mosquito Abatement District shall maintain reserve funds from existing unrestricted funds as designated by the Reserve Policy. This policy establishes the procedure to achieve the following specific goals:

1000.1.1.     Fund replacement and major repairs for the District’s physical assets.

1000.1.2.     Fund designated projects/programs or other special uses not otherwise funded by grants or requiring additional monetary support.

1000.1.3.     Fund capital improvements.

1000.1.4.     Maintain minimal operational sustainability in periods of economic uncertainty.

Use of District Reserves is limited to available “Unrestricted” Funds. All special use funds will be approved by formal action of the Board of Directors annually in connection with the fiscal year budget.

The General Manager in collaboration with the Administrative Assistant shall perform a reserve status analysis annually, to be provided to the Board of Directors for approval.
