Michelle began her career in this industry in 2000 working as a seasonal surveillance technician at Delta Vector Control District in Visalia. In 2017 she was hired here at the District, as the Operations Director, heading all day-to-day operations, surveillance and public relations. Michelle covers all 562 square miles of our District. Four years later in March of 2021 she was appointed General Manager by the District's Board of Trustees.
Michelle grew up in Visalia where she graduated from Mt. Whitney High School and graduated from Chapman University. She served in the US Air Force before beginning her career at the Tulare Mosquito Abatement District. She is certified by the State of California Department of Public Health Vector Control in all 4 categories. She is a member of the Mosquito and Vector Control Association of California, the American Mosquito Control Association, and the Society For Vector Ecology.
